It doesn't cost anything to be a Cherokee County Amateur Radio Emergency Communicator. Well, except for your radio gear.
The only requirements are the right attitude and the willingness to serve.

Contact any of our Leadership Team Members for more information.

Or, go ahead and fill out the Online Registration Form.

Members must complete the Cherokee County ARES Basic Test with a minimum score of 80% to receive a County EMA Badge.

You do not need to take the ARES Basic Test to become a member. The test is only required if you wish to carry a County EMA Identification Badge. If you do not hold an ID badge, you may not be able to enter into controlled areas during an emergency. Member Roster (pdf)
